[Update #1] - v0.2


Hello :D

This is the first update for Austin's Audio Visualizer, or A.A.V. for short. The update primarily focuses on user interface and adds a few other features as well. 

If you didn't know, A.A.V. is an audio visualizer made in Unity and currently features several ways of visualizing audio data.


Updates

  • Main Updates
    • Added the ability to use your own .wav files.
    • Overhauled the user interface.
    • Implemented new amplitude visualization.
    • Added the ability to customize the colour of the visualizations.
  • Audio
  • Balance
    • Adjusted visualization settings' value ranges and initial values.
    • Decreased buffer decrease value and  increased buffer decrease multiplier for 64 bands visualization.
    • Decreased initial highest frequency values for 8 and 64 band visualizations.
  • User Interface
    • Changed colour scheme to white/grey.
    • Updated layout of all elements.
    • Elements are now toggled if idle.
    • Replaced drop down menus for song/visualization select with panels.
    • Added start screen.
    • Added audio library panel.
    • Added elapsed and total audio time elements.
    • Added next/previous song controls.
    • Volume image is now updated on volume change/mute.
    • Play/Pause image is now updated on audio play/pause.
    • Added exit panel. Included the credits in the exit panel.
    • Added moving and/or fading transitions for panels and buttons.
  • Visuals
    • All visualizations are now using the same lighting setup.
    • Increased light intensity in the scene.
    • Added vignette, bloom and ambient occlusion post processing effects.


Moving Forward

For the next update the primary thing I would like to focus on is creating another visualization, but there are also bugs and lose ends that will need to be taken care of first. All in all, there will be plenty of tweaking and adjusting to do.
